Four story, 80 bed healthcare facility, designed to blend with the character of the original 1930's Bavarian-vernacular army hospital and a 1980's conservatively contemporary high tech medical pavilion.

The project included the alteration of 60,000 square feet of existing hospital space and the addition of 93,000 square feet of new space to house the four-story bed tower and single-story outpatient clinics, food service and administrative spaces. Phasing the new construction and renovation of the existing facility became a very critical issue as the hospital was to remain active during the construction. Extensive phasing plans were prepared by WS to accommodate temporary relocations of various functions during different periods of construction to achieve the hospitals goals.
