Design of a new three-story, 46,000
square foot health sciences building for the instruction/education and training of 600
students in the healthcare fields of nursing, respiratory, dental hygiene and radiology.
Included within the facility are classrooms, instructional labs and a 150-seat
multi-media auditorium. Instructional training labs emulate to the maximum possible
extent actual hospital and clinic situations including a 20-chair dental hygiene clinic
which will also provide outpatient care on a regular basis.
It was a stated requirement for this project that the exterior design of the facility
must be similar in both finish materials and architectural details with the other
buildings on the campus where a continuum of architectural style has been in effect for
half a century.
