186-bed, fully interstitial 650,000 sf addition of new hospital space and the renovation of 60,000 sf of existing hospital space for administrative and food service functions.

The new medical center contains a complete range of inpatient and outpatient treatment services, rehabilitation services, extensive medical and surgical intensive care as well as coronary and other critical care units. The facility includes progressive concept facilities such as an intervention suite, a telecommunication health education center and a modular integrated primary care and specialty clinic. Fitzsimons serves a 12-state area for military personnel, their dependents and other federal agencies.
